ok, just thought id ask..

looking at the dipstick. there is the full line, the add section and the low section.

how anyone know how many litres of oil is in this section? just trying to gauge how much oil i am loosing/burning.

i got a leak at the front. sump gasket i think :(

i think there is only about 2 litres between the full line and the add line. correct me if im wrong anyone.

is overfilling bad? going by that ive put nearly an extra litre in yesterday...

yes, too much can be bad
don't want the bottom end dragging through an oil bath
+ uses more fuel
best to pull the sump plug & drain out some & start again
pretty easy

I have overfilled by a litre sometimes, oil dipsticks have a built in idiot factor, so i dont think it would be to bad, but you never know, be interesting to see how much space there is beteen the bottom of crank, and level of oil.
