This might sound like a stupid question but i gotta ask it anyway. As the oil temp rises and the engine works harder (giving it a bootful) the oil viscosity thins out. Which gievs a slight drop in oil pressure readins on your cluster. is this right? or do ihave aproblem with my oil? Oil pressure drops a little after giving it some.

As a rule, oil thins as its temperature increases - which will see the oil pressure drop, most notable at idle. Even when cruising at fairly low RPM, oil pressure should still be in the "acceptable" range...

If your pressure drops noticeably after giving it a bootful (when the engine is already hot and oil has already thinned) then the oil may be broken down a bit much... might be due for a change...

If you're just noticing lower pressure at idle when the engine's hot then dont worry - its normal.

mine, when hot, idling at the lights usually settles around the 3bar? mark i think. occasionally dropping to around 2.5 if im at lights for a while.

however as soon as i tap the throttle its back up to 5-6
