hi my oil gage just started to go up when im taking off and then drops as i break but oil leval is fine in the car need help

When was the last time it had an oil and filter change? Might be a build up of crap in the filter?

its goes all the way past max then down that low that it beeps at me

Apart from the gauge doing that are there any other issues that started at the same time? Any oil spewing out where it shouldn't be? (1st place I'd look would be timing cover near the pwr steering pump) Strange engine rattles? (timing chain) Burning oil smell or blowing smoke?
If it's only the gauge causing concern could be that it or the sender in the block is faulty.

nah no leaks or smoke only put new oil in it 3 weeks ago so if its nothing huge ill replace sender and see how that goes
