I wonder if they would be comparing Kmart and Woolworths - home brand oils to say fully hektik synthetic oils or something?

nothing surprising I would imagine, something along the lines of hey you didnt use the correct viscosity oil and the right grade and the right blah blah...

I think its more on the lines of Mineral vs. Synthetic.
I didn't see it.... just heard it on the tv in the other room.
More to the point of what nowadays engines tolerances are I think... guess we'll find out.

What about running in? I"ve heard that for running in mineral oil is the best. Then after run in dump it and use synthetic from then on.

It was just about people running the wrong grade oil in there engine & using cheap oil.. Some old guy had his car serviced some where, they put the wrong oil in it, the engine seized & its not covered by the warranty..

The amount of people who come into work and by the cheap s**t 6L bottles of oil (there cheaper than 5 litres). They wouldn't care if you were selling them water with brown dye in it, they don't care about the grade or what it'll do to the car, just the price is important to them!

yep, then the engine dies and they jump up and down and carry on like a two bob watch...
or they slag off a certain car manufacturer or what not.
