Hi, im a little skeptical on the whole piggy back chip thing, but the chiptorque chip looks to be relatively cheap and im looking for opinions from others here who have used their chips, whether it be good or bad.

Has anyone got independant before and after dyno figures?

after a search, ive heard bad things about 'powerchip' and apparently 'unichip' is alright but is hard to find a tuner?

Im hoping fordfreak and fast-xr might give their thoughts as theyve both run a chiptorque chip and have both removed them, i would like to know why and did it make any difference.

ok, APS factory is 5min away from my house so might give them a buzz. Yeah i was looking at Powerchip and they seem to be premapped just for stock cars.

hmm, even if it gave 5kw at the wheels, i'd be happy to spend the 600 plus 100 for custom program..... but at the same time im worried it wont do jack s**t.

Am also thinking i could spend 700 on pacemaker 4480's and flowmaster muffler to replace the headers and old muffler i got now.... might have more benefit you reckon?

Yeah im guessing it would make a difference then, you have to ask someone that has gone through a few different extractors

dunno. i might get the car dyno'd first to see if my new cam is screwing the fuel ratios, then see if i need a chip at all.

they dont answer emails from their website, so i called them yesterday, saleswoman said everyones to busy to talk to me, and someone would call me back and they never did.

Just got a call back from them, and if i go their shop in the Gold Coast, their gonna do a before and after dyno run and find a suitable program for the chip all for $695. Im hoping for 145+ kw after the chip

Just gotta save up another $400 dollars

the new Unichip Q is really good any has many more features than the old one. im getting the Q+ put in the forester when the guys at northside 4x4 can get me in.....

these chips have just come out in the last 3 months but from all accounts they are the s**t. you can even switch the maps realtime with a PDA or smartphone with the bluetooth module it has in it. this bluetooth module also gives you engine stats on the screen and that would be soooooo cool if you could put it up on a DVD sreen with bluetooth or something
