original au xr rims ??

hey all

i have a set of au xr8/6 rims on ebay and a buyer asked if they were original, he said originals have the tickford logo stamped in them. i doubt that is true. but how can i tell if they are original. btw they are AU offset. (so thats rules them out of being e series copies)

my au1 xr6 16" rims have no tickford on them

even the centre caps are "ford"


the 17" have a tickford cap

Mine are 17's and have the tickford cap, but still don't know if there original, did they even make a copy ?

My old man has au 2 tickford wheels and they do have tickford wings stamped inside them.

we have a set of what i beleive are series1 xr6 17" rims these are the ones with the alloy centre cap, and they also have tickford wings cast on the inside of the rims..

Are they the star rim with the thin spokes? The shiney metal finish?
Mine are au3 xr rims with the thick spoke.

Here are my rims, I believe they are au 2 or 3 xr rims. Maybe they don't have the cast tickford wings . Possibly only au 1 do??

Those wheels should have the tickford stamp if they are genuine.
