Dont come onto this forum and try to s**t your way through. No one is stupid enough to beleive it.

I think its very impressive. Take a look at the commodore v6 forums and s**t like that!! As far as N/A 6' family car's go from 1980's onwards, Fords are always at the top!!

Well done N/A guys.

I've seen a few quick magnas around too that stomp out a quarter in the low 14s.

As a matter of interest, what are the V6 commy guys doing it in ? I haven't seen one crack 15s at the track but I'm sure there's faster ones around.

A few of you guys need to cool it down. If you're questioning someone's claims, there's no need to be abusive about it.

their is a bit of aftermarket gear kickin around for the V6 now, C.O.M.E racing have stroker packages available now for 3.8L's. They go pretty good! Guy i went to trade school with had a VS calais with a stroked V6, headwork, cam and ECU mods, that hit high 13's at the track!

I think most of the holden guys seem to pass off the V6's and go straight to the 304's, or become sheep and follow the pack of edited LS1's.

I've gotta say some of these times are impressive, and some are certainly made with hand on member.

Talking about Magna's my girlfriends', sisters' boyfriend has a 2002 sports Magna 5 speed. Off the line i get him and up top (freeway speeds) i smash him but anything in between leaves me a little red faced. The Magnas have good low and mid range go.
It s**t me to tears 'cause he always tries to race when i'm cruising in top gear. Never when he can hear my engine in it's happy place (3200-4500).

Anyway
I haven't tested mine on the track. It pulled 173kw@w.
I was suprised by that. I'd expect a high 14.

10 degrees hotter and you lost a second over the quarter ?? That doesn't sound right!
Did you get the chip retuned for the new cam and head work ? I guess not if you're only making the same power...

COME racing kits for the 3.8 v6 are $$$$$$$$$$

there is a guy in perth with a come racing kit (big cam-stroker), high stall quickshift everything!!! and can only crack a low 14... do that to a falcon and u got 13's.

0-100 = 8 Seconds.

Pretty happy with that.

Took it to ford, with doggy fuel pump, they did tune on it and s**t before they figured out what it was.
Now 0-100 = 11.3sec

Not happy, But of course ford thinks its perfect & everything is fine.
