hows it goin just thought i would start posting here, im from WA and drive a EL fairmont. I'm 21 and I work at a nissan dealership, next door to ford which is all good. My cars a november 96 el fairmont I don't know if thats any different to the newer EL's maybe 1 of you can tell me. It's pretty standard so its not hell fast but its fast enough for now, the car doesnt have a name but its nickname is crazy taxi, because the game is fun and i like to encorporate that into my driving lol...

I'm hoping to do a bit of work to it over the rest of this year and next year. So far it was a fat stereo, dual 15 inch subbies, class d pioneer amp, eclipse deck, 6 inch splits and an amp for them and then just 6 inchs in the back for now, as well as some expanding foam in the bootlid to stop the rattle (but did give my bootlid the "rippled" effect). other than that ive got it lowered with super low king springs and monroe gas shocks, 2.5" lukee exhaust no extractors yet, and a pod filter which just sits on the airbox with the standard intake.

the bad things, the rocker cover/head gasket are leaking, the gearbox needs a good service or maybe replacing, and theres a couple of nasty rust spots.
I want to take the head off myself and get the head machined, ported and polished and maybe a few other things depending on the cost of it all, but I can get the gasket set for cheap and have all the resources to do it. I want to do the cam at the same time as well. Hopin to do it within the next few weeks.

other than that i have many other mods planned to make it freaky and crazy and fast but it all takes time.

so yeah just thought id introduce myself before i start hasseling you all for info. heres a couple pics to.

hey guys cheers for the welcome...
gday samuel, the clarion subs arent to bad with that amp coz its a 1000 watt pioneer class d amp but the bass could be a bit clearer, still they are very deep and have a decent amount of punch to them.
hehe yeah eb_guy888, my box is huge i actually used to have that box and subs in my old bluebird lol. with the foam in the bootlid and the box the a*** is slammed yeah :P
cheers for the advice bout the rust, theres a bad spot in the beaver panel where you could just poke your finger through and if u tried hard enough probably your hand, and theres just a little bit forming in the engine bay which im gonna have a look at on the weekend. i think the car was near the ocean, the previous owner was in mandurah. I think getting a new EL would just be to much of a hassel since im still paying off this one lol. it'll be right, just needs time money and some TLC and not to many big drifts (hurry up summer before it dies)
take it easy guys, cheers
