at the momeny unleaded in my area is 1.03ish i think, and gas is 0.35 which i think it a fair bit different, but you gotta remember that you do get more kms and ease on the engine with petrol compared to gas, to it aint so dramatically cheaper as at first glance. Im hangin out for my LPG system to go kaputt so i can f**k it off, i myself favour fuel if the liquid variety

Ease of the engine?
have u ever noticed the colour of the oil when u pull it out of a LPG fueled engine?
compare that to a petrol powered engine... LPG does *NOT* hurt the engine more then ULP will.

and the km difference..
yeah, like 20% difference max... generally less!
i get 400 - 450km's from a tank of LPG
same driving i get about 450-500 on ULP

now consider the price difference...
LPG is great.. and i'm not running some cheap povo 'economical' LPG system either.
GRA all the way!

I had heard Gas burns dry or whatever so the engine doesnt get lubricated from it etc like petro does. Im findin ill get bout 400kms to a tank of petrol where as bout 300kms to gas. My car aint to crash hot in kms to a tank these days :oops:

Its a question of two trains of thought;

LPG - no upper cylinder lubrication

Petrol - solvent properties washing away oil in the cylinders.

In practice and from experience the LPG cars seem to show better longevity than their petrol counterparts. It's a route I'll be taking once it can be proved that the commercially available injection LPG setups will handle +200kw.

according to the news last night the president of the motor traders association says that market analysist are predicting that, others are saying $us100 a barrel, dunno how much/liter that is, but it's double the currant price per barrel

normal ulp in my town is $1.09/l and lpg is .469 cpl, bp give 4cpl discount for lpg so that goes down well, i just put 98 ron in my kwaka, that costs $1.17cpl

strange argument, ulp has no upper cylinder lubricant just like lpg has none, lpg has higher combustion chamber temps tho

I was refering specifically to injected LPG.
