well best speak to a engineer first, this is what our engineer told us,
no cutting of any metal for piping,
no piping lower than the k-frame,
filter must be boxed,
brakes must pass a safety test, (i think he tests it at a certain speed to see if it stops in time),
emissions test which is very vet costly.. approx 3k

here is the catch.
my mate and are both using the same engineer, we have the same model car with the same turbo kit.. minimal differences. so the emissions test can be used for both out cars with only testing one..
this way we almost half the cost..

this is why i say talk to an engineer first, he may be able to help you out and point you in the right direction, tell you what to look out etc

+1 for xcabbi. water to air setup will avoid having any panels cut for piping.

OR you can do what i did and opened the bottom up of the headlight hole

I'm using standard BA intercooler piping and yes i'm in vic and car is getting engineered.
