Why not just put a good panel filter in - lot less stuffing around

what stockstandard said. get a good panel filter. brand wise go for K&N. and if u want more improvement get a bigger snorkel. but if u really want a pod. get the 3" but u gotta start putting things in together urself. cost u just the same as getting a bigger snorkel and panel filter i think. but does look better if u know what ur doing with a pod.

hey, i wouldnt bother with a pod unless ur prepared to shield it from the heat. I had a pod when i first got my car. It made a good induction sound but thats about it. I now have a k&n panel with the auIII te50 snorkel, and now feel better response. I would go with the a decent panel. If you read the other 200,000 pod filter posts you would relise that everyone recomends it.

Yep. Panel is the way to go if you're keen for an aftermarket filter. Lot less F**k assing around.

If you're keen for extra horsepower, put your money towards something like a cam, zorst or ecu tweak.

A panel / pod filter (and especially a K&N, panel / pod filter) gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling, knowing that you have one in your air box. Nothiung else.

What it doesn't give you, is a noticeable increase in power...

very true... IMO if you want a pod you need to buy a full power intake, and even then it does very little unless you have a turbo...
most of the time aftermarket filters improve flow and decrease filtration, hence you suck all sorts of nasty s**t into your engine. yay.

Sort have convinced me to go with the panel with the bigger snorkel. But which snorkel should i go for, I've heard Au, AuII and TE 50 snorkels mentioned and just wondering what fuel economy is like with this added mod

the panel filter will give u noticable better throttle response, on the other hand the pod wont but your car will go harder up top, had these experiences with my car. The pod in the box was good but down low torque suffered but up top it pulled alot harder.
