ok i just got a K and N pod for my EL..

supposedly it was sposed 2 fit in the airbox with the items they gave me...it didnt!!

none the less it is hanging over the airbox all nice and smick

now driving a mates r33 the "whoosh" it makes when sucking in air is incredible.

i dont get the same when driving my car.. i drive falcon el futura. now maybe its cos my car is louder...my exhausts tone would be close to defectable. is it bcoz the skyline is turbo and goes so much harder than the el or maybe the air box makes the difference ( doubt it)..

suggestions?

If its a turbo it will suck in way more air then your Futura will.

My Old EA had a pod in it and it sounded really good...
Akademiks: Does the angle of the pod make a difference in the induction noise?

apparently if its pointing downwards it makes more noise as it echoes off the ground or something..... read that on calaisturbo about dose pipes which operate on pretty much the same principle.

Have the pod come straight off the throttle body thru a big hole in the bonnet so its standing up like a big C**k

Youll get heaps of fukin wooshes

Get a turbo whistler, it should make up for the whooooosh you're lacking!!!

do you mean turbo whoosh or a whoosh of air coming back... as i had an r31 s**t box and i put a cheap box on it and the induction noise was pretty loud and a small amount of pressure went back out with gear changes.

a pod builds up pressure over time so the longer it is on the louder the whoosh noise will be
