The broken hose has probably put water into the dissy when it went, take the cap off and take a look see.

Did any wiring around the gas converter get knocked off, causing the lock off to not open & flow gas?

Cheers

Far out, you will have to pull the dash out, and degas the a/c to be able to replace the heater core. Been there & done that one before. Have fun dude!

In the mean time you can bypass the heater core & keep the car working.

Cheers
