Nah I think he wrote that he once pulled about 330rwkw on one of those 'freak runs'. Mark from IT's has done 184rwkw in his N/A street car.
What happened to the guy from Qld (gmdstroya?). He was moving along quite well with a turbo EL block/AU head I6 and was looking for 1000hp???

Yeah, he pulled the pin on it and sold it.
Im sure it made the power, but only ran it 10 or so times.

Last i hear is he was building a low 13 sec EA N/A

He got tired of d**k asking him for help and not using it.
p****d him off so he is just laying low atm

What mods/rework would you do to an ED XR6 Manual to make about 145rwkW - plus a good tough torque figure. Personally i'd prefer to stay N/A (turbo and s/c would blow these figures out).

It is important that torque remains tough and flat. Happy to perform almost any work and must run on pump fuel (95 -> 98). Though also bang for buck is important :)

well my mates old EF made 146rwkw, 300-400nM of torque, cant remember exactly

It had 'hi-tech' headers (i never heard of em) 2.5" exhaust, stage III wade cam, chip, and cold air intake. My car is pretty much the same specs now, and its got enough to keep me happy. Havnt had it dynoed yet.

To set the record straight i got 309rwkw on a couple of runs on different days so i got my sign made up showing that.

Then the friday night before Autosalon in Melb we upped the boost and run a very strong fuel mix and got a couple of runs over 330rwkw.
- the sign was already made and i wasn't changing it
- it was under ideal conditions with 2 fans blowing onto the engine a cool intercooler and high bost. It is not worth running it like that all the time for the extra 21kw so we tunned it back to the 309rwkw.

On the street for everyday purposes (i.e. with stereo going, cooling fans maybve the A/C headlights etc.... it is probably closer to 270-280rwkw.
