hey guys, my power steerin pump is leakin out of the back of it where the pipe goes down to the rack, now can this be fixed? is it a job for a mechanic or is it fairly easy. also if it cant b fixed roughly how much for a replacement????

There's 2 hoses between the pump and the rack, a high pressure hose and a low pressure return hose. Both can be replaced by the home mechanic.

Not sure on the replacement cost, high pressure one is obviously dearer.

just use trans cooler hose for the low pressure one.

there is an O-ring on the high side that leaks alot

Prob just best to replace the the high pres one it comes with new o-rings ...

they wear out over time ... Normally the heat from extractors/headers make it weak
