hi fellas. little problem. just finishing doin a head gasket on my ef and i cant get the sprocket back onto the cam it just wont reach. i figured that the hydrolic adjusters are pushed out . any tips?

You need to release the chain tensioner.

do you usually have to loosen the tensioner off when you take the sprocket off. cause it came off fairly easily

no the cam gear comes off easy with out backing off the tensioner but you will need to undue the tensioner to put the cam gear back on.
as for the tensioner going back in, just make sure the tensioner is locked together before you put it back in then release the tensioner once it is back in to re-tension the chain.

ok. i can see the tensioner but what exactly do i do. i have a ford workshop manual but all it says is release the tensioner... how

dont worry i found the adjustment. i still had the powersteering bracket on and couldnt see it. cheers anyways
