PROBLEM with stalling EL Falcon

cheers heaps for the help, gona give it a good once over this weekend to see what i can find, may change fuel filters and see how that goes.

just got of the phone with local ford dealer. will charge $99 bucks an hour just do a diagnosis to find the problem. then parts and what ever labour required to fix it. like Adam N said, ive got a list now so im gona see what i can eliminate myself.

I love it that this site and its members are so helpful!

My EF does the same, stalls/runs rough when cold. i found mine is caused by a poor earth on the ECU (which is an XR ECU also) which hinders current flow to the Idle Speed Control valve, you'll probly find that there is little or no voltage at the ISC.

Yeah thats right falcon.I know that from EA to ED had some problems with the earth from the computer.Might have a look at that before you take it to Ford.

Cool. ill check the ecu earth and the isc this weekend, if not that ill replace fuel filters, then check leads/coil.

will keep you posted after the weekend on the findings. cheers fellas
