hi guys just curious what are the quater mile time with the AU fairmont and the ELxr6, a mate of mine just brought the ELxr6 (manual) just with miner mods like ,extractors, exhaust, air filter and my AU with the same just with SS induction, anyway thinking he would go right past me, i got a shock when i looked back to see a car lenght behind me,
should this be the case or has he brought himself a tied XR6

Is yours a big valve Monty (i.e red rocker cover)?

If not, he should really be creaming you off the line...

Over the quarter, he should also be in front...

Welcome to Fordmods mate :)

Still would've thought the XR6 sould munch the Fairy.
But the Highway comparison, would most likely be won by you, all the time, cause the Fairy would be auto. You'd pull away from the start.

That is a VERY sexy AU. A great big Ford badge in the middle of the grille would top if off nicely :)

Nice work. Just goes to show that with a little work and effort, an AU can look VERY hot!

Very nice Fairmont. It certanly looks faster than an XR6 but a manual EL XR6 will be a much faster car than an auto AU Fairmont. Faster off the line fatser qtr unlimited top speed just plain faster all round.

Obviously doesn't mean you can't outdrive a badly driven one but there is a big enough difference that would be hard to make up.
