I dont know which forum to post this in but can someone tell me why mechanical forums dont exist anymore.I'm trying to get the pdf files for the shift kits..cheers

when you atempt to go to the mechanical forums website it doesnt exist.and as commando said click on the shortcut it dont work???i want to download the pdf files for the shift kits,i cant do it.

Hey Kruptd r you making a shift kit? I am, i never read that crap all you need is on page 1 of the DIY shift kit thread!! :) Ive soldered up the resistors in there box this arvo, fitting the rest soon :D

Hope i dont kill me tranny :lol:

Yeah im making one for my ed.I made one before for a V8 NF fairlane and worked a charm really shiffted hard.
The main reason why i want the pdf files for the shift kit is that the ea eb ed are also diferent to the ef el ones.Im pretty sure somewhere they are different and wanted to double check to prevent any damage.But im sure the eb and ed are the same i do have the resistors and box and wire to put it in but just wanted to double check the pinouts for them.cheers

Yeh will do, i hopefully put it in this week sometime. Ihave an EB1 fairmont im running a EL tickford ECU, so the are the same im sure. EF and AU are different as the have more pins because they run coil packs not distributers.

hmm i should make one for the EL so it kills the auto quicker, then i can put the manual in :lol:

the main difference between ea to ed and ef to au is the ea to ed had a seperate trans controler where as the ef on had the trans controler built into the ecu.

i think all v8 have seperate trans controlers though.
