Weight is the main issue, copper if brand new will actually dissipate heat better than the same style alum. radiator. Unless you a building a super beast race car, go the copper probably save your back pocket a bit too.

*Personal Opinion please prove me wrong if facts aren't correct*

well all the old school cars have copper and the newer ones have aluminium... was looking at a couple listings on evilbay and there is a copper core one listed for a few bucks more but is thinner than the alloy one.... copper is easier to fix in the long run if it gets a leak... If weight is the only issue then that doesnt worry me too much then.

I had the choice when i replaced my radiator in the Eb Ghia 2 yrs ago, i think the alloy radiator was about $30 cheaper, i ended up spending up & getting the copper core.

I need to get a radaitor for my mighty boy, my only affordable option is a slightly modified mini minor alloy radiator, no way I'm paying suzuki $400 for a tiny radiator!

Cheers

Looks like I will get the copper one as it also has copper tanks as well....

Just doing a quick read on the net and seeing as I was out with the family tonight, chucked $7 in the pokies and walked away with $170 in front I will hopefully get one tomorrow.....

So a bit of luck on my part.... and the new radiator will cost me $169 from evilbay and "should" be pickup as well as it is in Adelaide....

Nice score man. I'm never so lucky, but my g/f has walked in & played $20 a couple of times & walked away with $300-$700 which was really helpful to get a few things done like a front wheel bearing & paying a fine.

The new radiators have copper tanks as well? I thought only the cores were copper or alloy these days & the tanks were all plastic for falcon's?

Cheers

i'd say the end tanks would be brass, you can still get them, its what i put into mine.
was a bit more exxy then an alloy core/plastic end tank rad, but i decided it was worth it.

I am never that lucky, usually just chuck $10 in and lose it... I dont know what made me hit the max bet on that particular hit but hell it sure paid off!!!!! I thought woohoo just won $30!!! then gave a couple more hits on the lowest bet and got free games and scored it again while in the free games...

I decided to not be too greedy and take the cash.... Boy was I surprised when all those coins came out!!!!! Misses knew I had won a little so went back to the table, when I rounded the corner smiling like a prized idot, I told her how much I had won...... she said "<censored> off!!!! no way!!!!" Till I showed her the bills!!!

So anyways just waiting for an email back so I can get my new radiator.....

my copper core still has the plastic tanks, i opted for the copper core as it came with a 3 year waranty and the alloy one only had 12 month waranty...

Bit annoyed with the guy as it was for an ally core not copper, but it was still $100 cheaper than a few places I called, so still a win win for me.... would have prefered copper tho....

Oh well car is fixed so all good now anyways....
