hello all
recently my ef seems to misfire every now and then. it has been more so happening upon acceleration but it only does it sometimes
i am thinking it is more than one cylinder because it doesnt follow a pattern at all
anyway the spark plugs were changed not to long ago
i was thinking maybe be blocked injectors or spark plug leads or the distributor cap or something
any ideas

thanks

my mates ef was doing it the other day and it turned out to be one of the leads on the distributor cap. if there all on the most likely thing would be one of your leads are stuffed.

EL's have dizzys and EF's have Coilpack so what do u have?

Get yourself some Queensland Ignition Leads (Spiral Core), or Eagle F1 Spiral Core leads (9mm+ on each) and their avail in diff colours.

You can get your qld leads from Joe @ crescent (hes the nsw rep), alternatively you can get your eagle f1 at most places, they both pricing vary from $75-90.

Maybe you fowled a plug? check them and see how they were

you car has no dizzy and the ecu determines the firing of the spark
coil pack is a pack of coils :)

nar instead of 1 coil for the car yours and AU's have 3 i think all bundled together

Just got a set of QLD Ignition leads from Joe the other week ... I haven't had a chance to put them in yet ... I just haven't had the time ... and I am lazy as well ... LOL

But have heard good things about them ... make a hell of a difference over standard leads thats for sure.

having another drive today it doesnt start missing unless it is under moderate to hard acceleration
cruising and light acceleration there is no problem
it is giving me the s**t coz it makes it jolt a fair bit and you cant speed up too quickly

got the same prob with mine.... bit i get serious shudders when accelerating and it totally looses power... had the prob bout 18months ago and it was the leads... but my car is at the panel shop at the moment gettin the rear end fixed so im goin to haev to wait to get it back before i can have a play and sus it out... im goin to get some eagle leads first if that fails ill nick over to ford and get em to plug it in and see if its the coils...
