what is in the contents of a rebuild kit, the ones u usually purhcase for around the $550 mark??

i think they just include all the seals and gaskets required...doing a proper rebuild would involve getting the engine bored out with new pistons, full cleaned and so on...should cost u around 2g's if u do it urself...

a rebuild kit would consist of
new piston/rings all gaskets BUT first u will need to get the blocked bore/honed to find out the correct size of the piston u need...

its for an EF I6, so it wouldnt include bearings and stuff?? i guess what i am asking is if i get the block bored etc, are there any other parts i will need that is not in the rebuild kit??

probably get it form one of the engine reconditioners in town, i asked him about a little while ago, he told me the kit was $550, but i didnt ask exactly what was in it, so i cant you for sure, but i was just wondering if anyone had heard of them, prom memory it mite have been an ACL one....

yer be acl
from memory it wont have the crank bearings, if you are not sure on what you need to get done maybe get the engine recoed by a pro? as to do it yourself u will need to take the engine out and apart then get teh block to the machinist.. now days it is fairly inexpensice for a drive in drive out jobby
