win, only buick 3.8 but.
reasons...
a) it will bring tears to the eyes of all the 4L fanboys and one eyed VP fans alike
b) supported in the states
c) have gone 7s in GNs
d) cheap cheap, easily fits budget for base engine purchase
e) it will be different, which seems to be the OPs bag

what the F#@k is wrong with a aussie 6??

mods, please, please, please delete this thread!!!!!

Each to their own, mate... nothing wrong with Aussie 6's, but nothing wrong with doing yer own thing...the world would be a boring ol place if we all drove the same car, same motor. Like I said, V6's aren't my cuppa, but got bored with ford 6's - hence me removing mine to make way for a 351...

Let the guy do his own thing...

your a tool if you think its a good idea, throwing money on something for no particular reason apart from being different??
if you want a v6, then buy a car that is engineered to have one in the bay.
this guy is a dreamer, do you no how much work will be involved with the conversion??? more then just a few thousand.
what have you done with a i6 to get bored of it??
have you pulled decent numbers? made a bit of power with it? reached its potential??
whats the bet
the true colours of the i6 are just starting to shine.
is it just me or are people really starting to get dumber and dumber
lets face it, this conversion is never going to happen, and heck if your stupid enough to make it happen "spuddly2003" on behalf of fordmods ill hand you my ef turbo as a present

yeh, agree, if there was more funds or it wasn't a V6 maybe ...within the price range, he might even be lucky enough to pick up a defected /trashed EA-EB V8...not that powerful stock maybe but good base to turbo?

lucky enough to pickup an ea v8 is the key there me thinks

Threads like these with ridiculous questions should be instantly locked.

Seriously go buy a VN and put a 4.0L in it, that way atleast you won't be going backwards. That won't be too costly. + Would piss off alot of holden owners heheh and a mildly modified 4.0L in VN would be fast. Cam exhaust tune with manual usually brings 140-150rwkw that in a rattly ugly VN sh*t box with a flimsy chassis that weighs 1200kg would go hard.

Say you get the V6 installed and running for a grand (delco ECU's are a piece of piss to set up), How much money is left for mods? I reckon all he could do is whip of the heads and give them a quick hand port and that's about it.

Go the 3.5 V6 24valve engine from a Magna.....heaps of them about...or the not so common 3.5 DOHC V6 24valve Pajero engine.....plenty of grunt to be had, and a very smooth engine/s.
