a bit loud heheh i reckon engineer had a whinge n whine at me for 94db @ 3200rpm :p... now I gotta replace the it ... he doesnt look to hard so think I'll just unbolt from the cat and stick a plate in there for the next time he tests it.

Thats with a standard EF XR 2.5" system with te rear resonator removed and 3"oval tip not that it does anything from look nice....even tho ya get all the lame rice payouts altho I really dont care think I will go a lukey or redback 2.5" cat back with a cannon in place of the rear resonator, 2.5" or 3" high flow cat and RPD/Pacey 4480 headers

u sure it was ur sound system being too loud? haha
from ur pics it looks mean. how quiet does 94db sound.. i mean 97db.. i didnt even know it was that loud i got a f**k shock! i wonder how much the redback muffler would read

i reckon 90% ppl with aftermarket exhausts are over 90db .. its just too low.. should be about 92db or so

yeh thats it every p plater u see drive past or modified cars espescially all the jap specs with cannons all hoon past and ya can hear the droney exhausts....just sucks none get pinged and im trying to do the right thing by the law and its costin me a s**t load to get this all changed and certified for the engineer ontop of the $600 certificate from him...

hey i put a 2.5" redback exhaust cat back on my ford falcon 4.0, 6 banger futura wagon mine has a resignator not the hotdog i like the cruizin sound not to loud when u give it some it responds with a nice grunt sound solid pipe and good sound at the press of the throttle

i heard that the STR2111 tail pipe (redback) is obsolete.. does anyone know the new part no for the redbacks (if they have one)?
