Gezz Guys.... Poor kid, he asked a question as he did not know, and everyone is giving him hell. Not everyone has the information that most of you do on Cars and engines. And it just goes to show that computer games are bad...mmmoookkkaaaaa

if he doesnt know this then why was he arguing jap cars are bad?

most of them run at higher rpm than a falcon anyway.....

do it for as long as your car can before it brakes something, then come back and tell up what broke and how much to fix it so the rest of us can be educated..
I race my car on tracks and even there I shift about 5000 cause I will start to roll off cam.. but just leave your car out of gear, stick a brick on the accelerator in the drive way, let for rev and see what blows...

I'll lend ya a camera and you can even take some happy snaps of the outcomes.

hehehe,

this has been a pretty funny little thread overall. Who went on here saying that a blue oval could rape a WRX? I was speaking to my mate, who's completely against V8's totally a mod-jap nut, and he said, that even stock RB, or GZ's do not like the rev limiter.

It's funny eh?

Blood= Bad
Red light= Stop

Red line = Danger

who woulda thought?

I tagged redline on a few changes overtime, its a pretty hard bounce off the limiter.. buggered if I know why anyone would want to drive near it..

LOL. just thought i would let you all now, that the bioggest mistake i ever made was showing off to my mates one day, went to drift around a corner, thought i was in second, realy in first, put my foot flat, car went nowhere, wheel spun, speedo shot up to 80. this was only for a half a second (until i realised something was not quite right,LOL). i then stoped, took off correctly, got 100m up the road and the temp guage shot up. after i got home (by rolling)i checked and found the fan belt was missing, i treked back the way i came and i was shredded at the corner i failed on. stupid mistake, but still bloody funny.

i've hit redline once while chasing a skyline, and it's pointless taking the rpm over 5500 in a stock 4.0L, even 5000 is enough.
