Looking at removing the rear muffler on my 06 Bf Xr6 and replacing it with a straight through pipe.
Would i loose any performance with this mod?
Is it Illegal in NSW?
Would the car be too loud? (I want it loud but not excessively loud.)

Thanks in advanced :)

The car might be a bit loud if you do that. You could try removing the middle muffler.

Thanks alot for that reply.
By the sounds of it, removing the middle muffler gives it a more throaty sound, rear a more droning sound.
Any decent wreckers around sydney where i could find a full BA/BF exhaust system?

Removing the rear muffler with a straight pipe will give you a drone at 60-80km/hr, better replacing the rear muffler with a small hotdog....

Might just look at a cheap cat back or something, I don't want to do a dodgy job.

My EB has the middle muffler removed (2.5' from the rear muffler back) and it sounds pretty sweet with a deep sound (and no drone) so I can only imagine the BF would sound equally as cool.
As soon as you take out that rear muffler it is going to drone/sound crap. If you want loud just go for a 2.5' catback, at least it will still sound somewhat good. That being said, I don't actually like most of the catbacks I hear (let alone the cheapys), so many people think the louder the better and then end up with an artificial sounding, droney s**t.
