If your remove the resinators (which are the front and rear small mufflers)and replace with just straight pipe it will increase the noise, but it won't be loud and won't sound anything special. I'd just keep saving if I was you, unless you've got a welder and can do it backyard style for no cost!

I have a 4L xh falcon ute i got my mate at the exhaust shop to cut out the big old muffler and i got and old exhaust system from a v6 magna,i cut the center resonator out and welded in place of the old big boxed muffler does sound louder but not crap if you know what i mean. And when you get under it sounds ok not bad.Cost me 10 bycks to weld it up and welded a 3inch tip to it.The resonator i cut out of the old magna exhaust is bigger than a standard hot dog so dont be worried it wont be too loud.

Hey EB have you seen the size of a 94onwards V6 magna center resonator. Its longer and bigger than a standard hotdog or resonator plus it has packing inside the resonator. And my ute dont sound like a f**k tractor. It aint loud. Its louder than what it was with the standard system.

arnt red-backs around $180 these days???

why stuff around, when a 2.5" mandrel bent 1 muffler, with a rear reso option is only $180 away.

I agree just hold off for a bit, they're not very pricey for a cat back system

i beg to differ

when i got my car i droped the back ressi off
you get a bit more noise down low and a verbul

but nothing as good as a 2 1/2inch sports zorst

it only cost like $40 so why not if the rest of your zorst is fine then i'd do it
then put a sports 1 on when your old one is stufffed
