Hey all,

Just finished getting the heater core out of my car, and what happened is the solder joint around the pipe coming from the engine bay either melted or cracked, cause there is nothing wrong with the pipe its self, its just pissing coolant out of the join?

Should I repair it or replace it???

Any idea what a new heater core is worth?

pick one up from the wreckers , be beter than reusing a heat fatigued one that youve done lots of burnouts with:)

I'd be replacing it with a new one, don't know the internal condition of a secondhand one.

yea suggested a 2nd hand one if he didnt wana go new, shoulda reworded it only reason i say that is because the old one died from overheating and personaly wouldnt want to resolder it as it might be a bit fatigued from heat
