I fitted a PWR Aluminium Expansion bottle, and found that my windsreen washer bottle was now looking a bit ordinary as it was the last remaining bit of white/cream/yellow plastic in the engine bay, so I came up with a bit of an idea:

It's an Autotechnica Monza M Spec aluminium coolant over flow bottle that I drilled the bottom out and screwed a Champion air hose fitting in, bit of rubber hose to a Norma Y-splitter, bit of hose to 2 universal winscreen washer pumps that are cable tied in place, and she's all done. It's got that tube running down the side which is handy to see the level.
The PWR bottle with the coolant sensor (had them specially make it up as they didn't have ones already avaliable for EF's etc. with the sensor fitting, but they said they'd add it to there range, if anyone is interested, talk to Luke and the part number he made for it is PWA5659 - took 2 weeks to make it but):

And I just run a CPC Chrome radiator cap (standard one as used on the original Ford bottles).

You wouldnt know your losing coolant until the sensor said set the light off on the dash.
It looks good but the looks dont outweigh the see-through factor.

If you look at the majority of poorly maintained Falcons the plastic bottles are no longer see through!
And it's still safe to have the coolant as low as when the sensor sets it off.
I'm the kind of freak who manually checks it at least weekly anyways.
I guess you can't have fashion and practicallity but.

I don't believe so, i just filled mine right up to the top, it'll spit the excess out the overflow pipe when it gets hot.

even my yellowed overflow bottle still allows me to see the coolant level, i'd wanna be able to see it, just personal preference, good luck checking it when the cars hot :P

looks hot as though.
