Yes you can fit new rods.
As long as there is no wear on the crank, you will not need a regind.

You will need new rings and Rod bearing as as well. Check the mains while you have it out as well.

with the things you want to do to your car in this v8- t6 conversion
its going to cost you a f**k fortune
and massive headaches

you would have been better of getting someone to rebuild your 3v v8 or find a good 2nd hander
then drop in a supercharger you would have grunt to scare the xr6t boys and enough torque to pull down the empire state building

na you are wrong there. so far engine has cost me about $1500(sold parts of car wreck )$1000 to rebuild turbo ,gaskets and rods rings bearings about $1200 . don't count hours of work .but to rebuild v8 and supercharge it is over $10,000 . so for about $5000 to get the turbo one in there i am better of .the 6 will still be a faster car thats for sure

Did you consider buying a Boss 260 wreck and swapping the motor etc out of that?

this too!

so much simpler and easier hell you could have gotten a bos 290 as well!

you are alos going to have to go over the pits/ get roadworthy etc for the new engine combo
and then there is insurance as well
