hi guys im getting a 2.5" catback exhaust for my ford ef straight 6 n was asked if i wanted a resignator or not? not sure can i have sum advice please?? i want ti to be a nice rumble n not to loud like legal limit. thanks

if u want a nice rumble dont get a resi,
i think you'd like it with just a single muffler, if you dont and you find it drones abit just get one put in. i got a 2.5inch with a single muffler and its hardy loud..

meh, put the rear one on.
nothing worse that a try hard loud ford 6. I think redbacks with the rear sound great. I recently replaced my redback catback to diff with some cheap a*** muffler and used my existing redback rear and its a touch louder and sounds s**t. come on a meet and have a listen to a few in real life, its only a off the shelf product.

I recently fitted a 2.5inch mandrel bent sports exhaust system to my ed falcon it has the rear resonator sounds good but over time will get alittle louder but not much.For legalities now when hotting up cars in NSW an exhaust system has to retain 2 mufflers a middle the main muffler and the rear muffler/resonator.I'd suggest keep the rear resonator just to keep the police happy.

If you go a single 2.5in system with 1 muffler you will get drone at highway speeds. mainly between 70-100km/hr. Just get a sports exhaust with a main muffler and hotdog in the tail pipe.
Still same loudness at throttle but no drone at highway speeds and/or the wet f@rt sound you get running one muffler..

+1 go without the resi and then if it drones put it on later.
I don't run one and it doesn't noticibly drone (if it did i would have one as i do lots of highway km's). My mate had to get one fitted though with a redback system though as it was a droner.

ahh soft! get them to take both mufflers out, sounds awesome.. under wot, sounds like a tractor most of the time though.

Bah! go without it, mine has just a 2.5" and straight through muffler, and its not loud when cruising along, no drone, can hardly hear it at 100, unless you have the boot into it, then it sounds sweet as.
