I think the line of discussion of whether it could beat an xr6t has been exhausted.

My brother-inlaw has a BA MkII XR6T, auto sedan, and he was impressed how well the 88EA went....(EA T5 ) 5sp manual with 3.27 LSD....he also has an EF 5sp manual sedan.

Hi there people, did you get the cam timing adjusted after the head was shaved i spoke to the owner of crow about a month ago and he said every time the head gets machined it throws cam timing out by as much as 7 degs and thats were people go wrong, there can be a fair power gain with the right setup most people just set it back to where it was before the head come off.

whenever the cam (and especially the head!) its important to make sure all timing marks line up.
after shaving the head, this might mean moving the cam gear along 1 tooth.
mines been shaved 50 thou and it still lines up perfectly with all timing marks, but if i had of left it in the same cam gear position, it would be roughly 1 or 2 teeth out of line.
a verier gear is the best way to get the cam timing spot on, but not always needed.

also after i got it tunned i noticed that even tho the dyno said another 9rwkw from its 145rwkw its big kick it once had has almost disapeared i dont know if its just genraly faster now from 0-100 rather then just from 80 onwards but yer any idea even tho it was apparently running to lean when it was making 145rwkw
