is it possible to fit the old 3 belt setup from an EA to a AU motor? I don't want to have to convert to serp belts and thermo fans if I can help it.

I'm having problems with the EA balancer, it hits the sump.

You'll have less issues using AU gear except air con pump...

got it all to work. had to grind half the engine away but everything fits. have to modify the front timing case to fit the AC pully. Have to modify the block and alternator bracket to get it to fit. Have to grind the sump to fit balancer. Here it is, the AU engine with all the EA bits on it. A lot cheaper ($5 for a grinding disc) versus a heap more for new alt, belt, tensioner and thermos.
