just sorta an off topic, side notice type thread here.

the original gasket (which im still using) is of different design to the new ones which you are given.

the old gaskets simply had a flat bottom and a lip that sat in the rocker covers groove. the new ones seems to be funny shaped and not flat bottomed and for the life of me could not get the god damn thing to seat in the rocker covers groove! thus why i am using the old one.

anyone had any wisdom on this? i have a brand new gasket here that got rejected for the 10yo one because it just wouldn't seat in the cover allowing me to put it on the head.
