im replacing rocker cover seal and its cork fitted. the parts man asked me if it was cork or rubber fitted can I change to rubber or will it be only suitable for cork?

If the motor is an original they were ALL Neoprene (rubber).
The Parts guy must have gotten it wrong?

Part number you need is ED 6584 R $59.00AU retail

Original ED ones were cork with rubber half moons, until the updated ones in 94, when the changed the head and rocker cover to suit, which was then an O ring style rocker cover.
