I have a EL. I just have done a head gasket & used ARP head studs. Now the rocker cover will not fit. After inspecting why, the rocker cover internal webbing is hitting the head studs.
I have seen a post about this issue & mods to do but i cannot find it. Has anyone come accross this issue & what did you do ? Pics will be very good because it will give me some ideas to tackle this problem tommorrow. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

If its just the internal webbing hitting the studs grind them out to clearance it.
I had to do the same to the alloy rocker covers on my 5.0 to clear the 1.7 Roller Rockers.

It could possibly have been my old build thread. I used an ARP stud kit when I screwed together my old i6. I had to knock the webbing out of the rocker cover for it to go back on. never had any issues though.

I JUST HAD THIS ISSUE not even a week ago. Every second internal "post" thing needs to be cut in half. And the most inner post and a small part of the PCV chamber

I used a 4" grinder. cut the post as close to the outside of the rocker cover so it sat flush, then cut it across so the cuts met. Not exactly pretty but no one sees it
