Hey guys, just wondering is anyone knows what is the normal running temp for an EL xr6? And also at what temp do the thermo fans kick in? Any help would be awesome, cheers

I'm pretty sure the factory thermostat opens at 190F or around 90C...

I imagine the thermos kick in prob 10C more than that? Not sure on this though... Reasonably sure on the thermostat bit though...

No worries, shoot the guy ti performance an email galapogos i think his user name is... He custom programs chips to change the EEC-IV brains... So as such he can see inside them and what the settings are, he might be able to see the temp that the thermos come on at...

Other than that, I've seen retrofits done using 105C sensors, apparently they've worked good, just remember to add a relay so they come on with the ac too...

Sensor something like the TFS202 shown on page 2 of this website:
http://www.tridon.com.au/Products/Produ ... 483&P=2014

E series thermostats have a bung that is 3/8 GAS threaded too, depending on what its going in...

Cheers,
Tim
