Im in need of a reco tickford 4l head. Does anyone know where i might be able to get one?

I gave "all Head Services" a call this morning and organised with the guy what i thought to be a tickford head.

Turns out it wasnt a tickford head, since its swapover he wants tick head for tickhead, not tick head for non tick head.

So now i spent $500 on a lump of s**t i dont want.

So shattered, i spent all day waiting to pick it up and now its not what it should be im quite dissapointed.

I don't have a reco tickford head, but I do have a ticky head that came off my EL Ghia at 130,000km sitting in my spare parts room...

If its of interest, let me know.

Basically head, cam and rockers.

that head shop stooged you, they would have had it on the shelf ready and forced the sale onto you because they didnt explain to you how the changeover system works...

id say demand your money back most decent ones would take it back if it is still in the same condition as it left specially on change over basis items because they can always just wait for the next customer who needs one.

if they dont then its bad buisness for them because now everyone here knows not to go to them. also $500 is a bit steep for a changeover reco head...

it cost me about 420 for a reco head....valves were about $18 each... so for another 120 u can have the same as a ticky head for about the same price ud get a reconditioned one
