Hey there. Don't know if this is in the right section.
Looking at either selling and then buying a new car, or trading in straight up. Car is 2004 BA XT, Sedan, Silver, 4sp Auto, 118000km. Has 20" Alloy Rims, Redback Extractors and 2.5" Hi-Flow, Kenwood Unit w/ USB + AUX, Rego until Mid October 2011. Has a few nicks and scratches here and there though. Pictures can be supplied.

probly get more if you trade it in for somthin nice.
sell probly get around 5k.

you will get much less as a trade in..
sell it private you will get more for it.. i would say as a trade in, probably only get between 4 and 5'000. sell it private and i think you could get between 6 and 8'000.??? |

I bought it for 11k at the start of last year. At the moment, I'd be VERY happy if I could get anywhere near close to 10k for it. If I were to fix up the scratches and the crack in the rear bumper, would I be able to get more for it?? I'm mainly trying to get rid of it, so I can get something that isn't a bloody auto lol

a few months back i saw a ba xr6t with 180'000km at an auction (undamaged) in excellent cond and it went for $8200.. although it had no rego..

Well I'm mainly looking at trade in. But if I can get more from selling, and then buying something a bit cheaper I will lol
Either way, I want a f**k manual. Get so bored with an auto...

Wouldn't it be smarter to do a manual conversion on the car instead of turning it over for something else? I was thinking about selling my Eb Ghia before I did the manual conversion, as I really wanted a manual falcon, but did the conversion instead. It's a whole different car to drive now, much more fun.

Because the cost wouldn't be worth it. Will cost a few grand to get it converted, plus tuned.

Yeah true. I'll look into it more. Maybe converting will be cheaper in the long run. I'm going to be doing the BA up quite a bit, so once converted I will probably keep it.

Are u planning on getting a better car once your off your p's? if so i think the best way for u to go is either putting up with ur xt for a couple more years then getting as much as u can for a trade in or... sell it private for the best u can (the price the other guys have been saying) and get yourself a manual e series and do a few mods with the money u make and then when the time comes trade that in.
