Modify your standard intake so it doesn't have something sticking out the bonnet and actually causes an increase in performance. There are a heap of threads on here about it but you could start but DIY mimicking the typhoon secondary inlet to the airbox for very cheap.

mine definitely seemed to give a gain, combined with bmc filter & catback - will know more when I add the headers & get tune

I personally love the look of them to be honest and would love to have one. I couldnt imagine it not helping on performance but at the same time Just dont have the cash to fit one expensive as hell. Not sure why either?
