what benefits come from shaving my head its a stock motor .. just want to know what thou u would take off from it... cam is going in the next month so i figured why not ask this question now as the head is off the car due to gasket

Remember one thing, if you take too much off, the next time you blow a gasket you may have to throw the head away.

I have got a stock ef engine, and hopefully be on the dyno tomorrow or friday so U can compare the stock kw to mine, I bet there will be hardly any gain at all.
I had the head shaved on my eb 20thou and felt absolutely no difference at all, its very over-rated as far as im concerned. But it may be helpful if ur pulling some serious numbers, on a street car tho, nah mate dont bother |
