Dude I waiting till I get extractors before I install mine. I'm itchin to do it too. Apparently it's 1 extra shim in each rocker arm a**'y.

There's a fkn good article on trueblue or something about it with decent pics.

The shims are apparently 11mm or 14mm in diameter, and yes 1.9mm thick.

Can some one confirm the diameter of the shims in this dudes car, as well as my own?

Ring ford
iirc the EB/ED's are a larger diam than the EF/EL/AU's

u will need 12 shims, i per rocker arm
and yes use the original + the extras

pretty sure eb2? shims onwards are the same size. have to check that model through. when you grab em through ford or where ever just make sure to ask for the ones for your model.

yes you will just need an extra shim in every arm in addition to the one that is there from factory.

they only stock 1.9mm thick now as i recall someone saying before.

hey mate with the price of the shims from the wreckers (about $4 a set) it would pay to get a set of each.

my car was meant to be 1 size, but it was the other size, lucky there was a set of the correct size at my disposal. just get them from the wreckers otherwise ford or wherever else you get them charge a fair amount more ($50+)
