Hey guys,

I'm still running the group buy for Shifters from the US. I have closed the one on aff.com.au for now, but If I can get 5 orders I can place another order.

The ones I get aren't Ebay cheapies, they are from Steeda, a well respected US mustang Tuner. They are made from a single piece of billet aluminium, and have a strong return to centre mechanism to ensure the 2-3 shift is never missed again!

The price is $200 to your door if a minimum of 10 are ordered at once. If the order is 5, I will have to negotiate pricing, but it shouldnt be more than $215 to your door. If you guys think this would be worthwhile running here on Fordmods, Im happy to do so. Just let me know.

Here is a pic:

Ignore the aluminium shifter bushes, they are extra cost.

just put mine in today, i just got some 26mm dia steel bar and turned down (on a lathe)a narrow piece for leather to fit over and tapped it for gear nob to fit on.about 40% less throw easily looks great too and super strong as its not cheapo steel.

best of all its free. will post pics later tonight

i knocked over an inch off mine, i threw it in the lathe and turned it down slowly, then re-tapped the thread again.
i haven't fitted it to my car yet as the whole dash is removed at the moment.

How does shortening your stick give you 40% less throw, i can understand how that would work

half the length half the distance to travel look at a stock stick and imagine it being half the length then change gears the top goes say 10cm but the middle will only travel bout 6cm

think of it liek this.
the bit where it bolts to will travel eg. 2cm.
the top of the standard knob will travel 12 cm.
shortening it will make it anywhere between depending on how far you go with the shortening.
i'd draw a pic in photoshop but i just woke up.
