Im pretty sure i read somewhere that the ED snorkel was a tad bigger or something than the EA one but not 100% sure on that as i thought they were the same size. The only snorkel i know of that will fit and is an upgrade over both of them is the XH snorkel, its a fair bit bigger than the EA-ED items.

makes me wonder whats the biggest snorkel out of the ea mpfi and the ed mpfi as the mouth on the ea snorkel is slightly bigger than the ed just by looking at it

at our kadina ford the xh snorkel is about 75.00 and theres none 2ndhand would it be better to make a homemade standard snorkel for the ed using sheet metal and use soldering fluid and solder to solder the sheets together to put the snorkel together

i guess u could make it out of metal, would be a bit of work though, and looks???
ive been thinking of making 1 for my brother inlaws ed gli/fairmont out of fibreglass, xh style and enlarging the opening a bit more than that.

the xh snorkels are on here from time to time, why not get onto 1 of them. reckon they were about $35 from ford last year

Or i have a XH snorkel for sale you can have for 30 bucks plus postage PM Me.

The EA tubing is larger from manifold to airbox then EB/ED the EB/ED snorkel has better flow then EA but XH has almost the same flow as EF/EL standard i beleive
