hey guys at the moment i have two cars (one for sale) an ef svo and an el farimont. Now the svo is for sale if anybody wants it. i have around 3000 thousand to spend on doing up the el because it is completly stock so i need some mony left over to do new mags (EL GT RIMS) sound system was looking to spend around 2000 on that and lowared. i was thinking the JMM dev 3HL kit was ok for value but i have come across snort performance. now there stage three turbo kit is selling for $3500 plus 125 shipping. i was wondering if it would be worth waiting a while longer to get some extra cash so i can get the turbo kit but i was not to sure what other mods will i need to complete the stage 3 kit ie changing the front bar or other parts i do not know a great deal about turbos.so i am not to sure what to do turbo?

i was not looking at turboing my car but if it all can be done for around $4000 i am thinking i should wait till i have the cash. everyone has been saying that you need like 10k for this kind of job but i am not to sure help would be awsome guys thanx

you will probalby need a little more than 4k.. about 6k doing it very cheap.

3500 for the kit
installing would be a few hundred (drilling feed lines into sump etc unless your game)
despite what he says you will definaly want some kind of piggy back ecu to help control it
few hundred for cooler piping.
engineers cert if you want it insured..

If you turbo your car in Vic, you cant get it legal, RWC or insured if you dont get it engineered (this cost minimum $3500 in itself!)

A few things on top of the snort kit you need for a good setup are:
- intercooler
- piping
- joins
- oil/water lines
- some form of aftermarket ECU
- fuel reg/bigger fuel pump
- maybe injectors
- labour will equal big $$$

Hard to say really.
Never seen them go head to head.
I have the RPD/Alted stg2, and I'm very happy with it.
My car before cam ran a 16.9, so we'll see how it runs with this.
Hard to say what the difference will be, car feels a bit doughier down low, but really takes off at 3000rpm.
A bit more timing advance might even it up.
