i heard that ba xr6 turbo or ba gas sprak plugs are a cheaper alternative to iridium spark plugs for an e series, is this true are they compatible and do they perform better? they are about half the price or so

yeah they are cheap for iridium plugs, there motorcraft plugs and do well.
