Hi,

Haven't been on fordmods for a while, owned an EA which I played around with a bit but sold her a year or two ago and thinking about buying another falcon.

So I need something cheap and reliable for the next couple years... falcon.

I have a few questions and I'd really appreciate any good directions so..

Considering EA-EL, must be a 5 speed, must have LPG. Now thats a rare find with all 3 boxes ticked but an LPG install is not that difficult.

So here is the question..

I want to make the car fun/cheap and best bang for buck from the previous falcon was a camshaft. I had a camtech stage 1 cam and it made a bit of difference, I'm looking for something a bit more lively now.

But I want LPG also for fuel reasons since 99% of the driving won't be skids.

So could anyone recommend me a cam or specify duration/lift for LPG?

Also I was wondering if anyone knew the power loss from going to LPG from MPFI? (since I'd wouldn't be getting multi point LPG).

I know you can get power out of LPG remember there was a turbo lpg au somewhere on here but keeping it cheap and simple what is my best option?

Thanks in advance and please don't flame about not being in the lpg section its a 6 cyl question as much as it is about lpg

Don't know about a cam I'm looking into that at the moment myself will let you know if I find anything, also if you are getting a gas system put on I'd recommend Sprint Gas, has the mixer ring but it still pulls to the redline well, not quite as good as petrol but better than any other gas system i've seen without going to injected, but thats my personal opinion.

Let me know if you find a cam suited to gas too

By mpfi gas I assume you mean vapor injection? If so I believe you require sequential injection which didn't appear on 6cyl falcons till the AU model. As for duel fuel and perfomance, if you want to run it on gas most of the time forget about the petrol and just tune it to run LPG. Contact waggot cams the number is in my sig.
