Noticed something today when i gave the ef a bootfull(on a private road of course)The speedo stops at 140kph and got stuck at 140 until i slowed down to 110 again.At normal speeds it works fine. Has anyone experienced this???

yeah nice claim of private road.. what you got your own airfield?

In relation to the speedo, sounds like you have something jamming or binding in there, My old ef the speedo always ran happily off the clock and back again, have you changed your diff ratio? maybe its reached the speed limiter and the speedo gear has not been changed? let us know what is done to the car.

I would be definatly looking at the speedo gear.

I use an old airstrip out of perth :) The car has extractors and cai and thats it,standard 3.08 diff.If it was the gear it would be faulty all the time.Maybe the cluster is jamming up?

Maybe it just runs out of steam at 140 :D Try a longer airstrip, or a steeper hill :D

probably not the safest advice, but try tapping the cluster vigorously when the speedo stops moving.

Haha thats what it seemed like(damn its takin a long time to get to 140) while the car was still accelerating the speedo stopped :shock:It is a doozy .....

dont do 140, problem solved. start to worry about when it starts happening at anything below 110k/ph
