just the sound would make it worth while...
as for power increase, not much at all, your exhaust will be a lot more freer flowing, but you still have the problem up at the exhaust manifold that that the gases are fighting and flowing into each other. a set of extractors with that would fix this problem and give you a nice increase (but some insurance companies only allow exhaust not extractors so be careful). and don't forget to get them to cut the old flange off your car and make it into 2 1/2" to match the exhaust.

your better off leaving the stock exhaust system and "gutting" the converter...Cheaper and possibly the same performance as a lukey system....yeah its illegal, but at the end of the day WHO GIVES A F*@K! :P

No your not! The ford cata converters flow exceptionally well for stock, also by now there probably even higher flowing due to being old and worn! It's the big muffler and the two resinators that are providing the restriction and the small pipe size!
Also I noticed no power lose going from a gutted stock converter (with extractors and 2 1/2" exhaust) to high flow (with same rest of set up).
As for who gives a f**k about it being illegal? I'd love to see you tell me that one after you've payed off the 10 grand fine lol!

has anyone told you your a smartass???

anyway, catalytic converters clog up with CARBON in time, therefore restricting the airflow...ive done it with my cousins VN V6 commo a couple years ago and YES, i could tell a big difference, it was almost as though the engine came more alive! also changed 2 converters on my old mans 4WD not long ago bacause the old ones were clogged with carbon...IVE DONE IT BEFORE and seen the results and therefore know what im talkin about

and with the fact about it being illegal, the only way you can get caught is if they put an emission sensor on the exhaust, they might only give you a canary, but if your unlucky they will inspect the converter to see if its been tampered with...

BAAA HA HA HA HA!
You noodle.
It's like a $10k fine from the EPA.
Not to mention the lovely carcinogens you'll be inhaling whenever you're near the back of your car.
Just get a new bloody cat, either a 'high flow' one, or an AU one cut up and flanged.
I'm still laughing by the way.

again 5that comes back to my point about Ford producing some of the highest flowing factory cat converters. not s**t ones like on your brother Uleh's VN crap ador! (do you want me to also list the diferences between the sitution involving a falcon and the situation with a commodore)?
your entire exhaust gets carbon in it over time, but after 100,000km's the cat converter starts falling apart inside and bit fall apart and go down the exhaust - making the thing higher flowing... kind of...

Has anyone told you your a f**k? Gutting your cat and street racing in Dandenong or whatever it was is hardly smart.
