Hi all,
About a week ago my ED 4.0i Gli chewed up an alternator belt. The NRMA came and and fixed it on the spot. Only trouble is he didnt tighten the belts enough so now they squeak very badly. My car used to have this but my mechanic showed me its just the belts need tightening. So I was wondering if anyone could post instructions on how to tighten the belts on an EB/ED 4.0i Gli falcon (for me) and any other models for other people who may be searching for this.
Cheers!

I'm pretty sure you losen one bolt 12 or 13mm I think, then use a bigger spanner or shifter and tighten it, I'm pretty sure what you're looking for is just above the alternator.

I had this problem too but it just kept coming loose, ended up replacing the alternator bracket ~$13 from FORD. If thats the case I think you need to remove the clutch fan and water pump pulley...
